Dr. Christopher Michael Taub is a jewish plastic surgeon who decided to leave his practice to compete against others for a slot on Dr. House's diagnostic team. House interviewed Taub's former colleagues after finding out that he signed a non-compete agreement. Further digging on House's part finds out Taub left his practice in order to stop his colleagues from telling his wife, Rachel, that he was cheating on her with one of the nurses. Taub says he wanted to save his marriage and this job will help him do it. However, shortly thereafter, he confessed to his wife upon receiving her gift of a new car.
