The film tells the story of Kevin, a young, fearless runner from a rough neighborhood in Taiwan, who falls in love with his tough coach Ellie. Kevin promises to win his coach's heart by winning the famous 10,000 Miles Silk Road Ultramarathon.
There is a thin line between being passionate about something and being pig-headed and reckless about it. It is a line that Kevin crosses with abandon.
10,000 Miles' script is so flooded with [clichés] it derails what is otherwise a gorgeously shot film with plenty of picturesque locations and strong performances.
