Jessica Jones, like its protagonist, can't be called simply good or bad. It's messier, stranger, and far more complicated than that. And that's a good thing, flaws and all.
Where season 1 of Jessica Jones was about confronting trauma, season 2 launches by exploring how and whether she can heal. Hopefully Jessica and her show will come out stronger by the end of it.
Like the Penrose stairs, each episode builds to a climax that never quite materialises. Still, it's so well made that just climbing those stairs is satisfying enough.
Hopefully, a third season of Jessica Jones will allow us to see the character finally start to move forward and explore new facets of her life with the knowledge and experiences she's gleaned from these two seasons.
