Even the best... of the bunch make the worst and most ill-advised decisions, and it's exasperating to watch. Coupled with the wheel-spinning of this slow episode, "The King, the Widow, and Rick" ended up being a dull and frustrating outing for TWD.
After the strongest episode of the season in last week's "The Big Scary U," The Walking Dead follows it up with a clunker, "The King, The Widow, and Rick," which felt more like an hour-long "previously on" segment than an episode.
Disbelief can be suspended. In a show about zombies, it can even be stretched. But Jadis and her band of refuse-niks yank disbelief so far it snaps, twanging like underpant elastic in an over-ambitious logical wedgie.
